The statistics are in, and unless some Brokers report their sales late–sometimes we have a few stragglers, there are (click on this link to view)  77 Tucson Area Luxury Homes Sold in 2012, which represents 15% more sales than in 2011. The majority come from the North area (mostly zip codes 85750 and 85718)- with 49 sales ( most popular communities are Pima Canyon, Cat 10, and Ventana Canyon). 19 Homes were sold in the Northwest which includes Oro Valley and Marana where the most popular community was Dove Mountain in Marana which had 14; Stone Canyon in Oro Valley had 4; The Northeast and Central saw 4 sales each and the Southeast had 1 sale.

In 2011 there were 67 sales of homes in Pima County priced over 1 million; 42 came from the North (primary zip codes 85750 and 85718) and 16 came from the Northwest–Oro Valley and Marana (mostly Dove Mountain), with 9 sales in other areas of Pima County.
