Cat 10 is a very popular gated community located in the Central Catalina Foothills. Folks love it because of its large and rolling, ridge-top homesites; that it has a guard-manned gate and it is closer than most Foothills locations to Downtown and U of A. Some homes in Cat 10 are not districted in the Catalina Foothills School District; the one that just sold on 5121 N Camino Sumo, is not one of them; this 28 year old Contemporary is sited on 1.32 acres and has 3,852 square feet. It sold for 800K by Long Realty in 3 week’s time! Goes to show there was a likely buyer in the wings. While the temperatures at hottest in June in Tucson, seems there is high-end buyer activity where normally the market slows down to a standstill for homes priced over 600K. This year seems to be moving away from the past trend. Why? Interest rates are moving up; the bottom of house prices seems to have been reached….so many are taking the plunge.
