181 Homes Sold for over a Million in the Catalina Foothills in 2021

It was a great year for luxury homes in the zip codes 85750 and 85718 which are located in the gorgeous Catalina Foothills of Tucson. 181 homes sold for over a million.

The highest price home sale was located in Ventana Canyon Mountain Estates and sold for $4,063,564. It has over 11K square feet with 7 bedrooms and 8 baths situated on over 2 acres on the top of Ventana Canyon. This 2 story home has all the bells and whistles including an elevator. Ventana Canyon Home Sold for $4,063,564

 

Ventana Canyon has sold the most expensive home in Pima County for 2021. 6780 E Resort View Place sold for $4,063,564 that was listed by Long Realty. This 11,539 square foot home has 7 bedrooms and 8 baths and is sited on 2.3 acres. It is a two-story home with an elevator. The setting is gorgeous and overlooks the city lights and the high Santa Catalinas.

The Tucson luxury homes market continues to be hot. 

Stone Canyon Home Sold for $3,750,000

Stone Canyon is the place to be with 8 homes sold for over 2 million in this community in 2021. This has the highest number of sales of any Tucson luxury community in this most expensive price range.  There have been 30 homes that have sold over 2 million from January 1st to June 4th. Other popular communities for luxury homes with the highest number of sales are: Pima Canyon, Skyline Country Club, Dove Mountain to include Canyon Pass and The Canyons.

In 2014 this beautiful Oro Valley Contemporary was built at Stone Canyon at 1277 Tortolita Mountain Circle. It has over 7,200 square feet and is sited 2.41 acres. Long Realty listed this home that has a setting that will please the fussiest buyers. This is the eighth home to sell for over 3 million in the Tucson area in 2021.

2021 will be a record- breaking year for luxury home sales in Tucson as many seek to retire in the beautiful Sonoran Desert and others are escaping the high prices of California.

Update on Tucson Luxury Homes Market

It is very clear that the 2021 Tucson Luxury Homes Market for the Catalina Foothills (with zip codes 85750 and 85718) is the best it has ever been. So far in 2021 there have been 236 sales in the price-range 500K-1 million ( for all of 2020 there were 521 sales); so far in 2021 the 1 million-2 million price range has already seen 59 home sales (for all of 2020 there were 75 sales); and for the ultra- exclusive price range of 2 million or more there have been 13 so far this year (for all of 2020 there were less-11 sales!!!!!).

The photo reveals the highest price home sold so far this year which is located at 6801 N Dundedin Palace 85718 sold by Long Realty for $3,337,500. It is located at Skyline Country Club Estates and has 5,159 square feet. Note the most popular luxury homes sold in the Catalina Foothills have only one-story. Built in 1994-it was exquisitely restored.

Increase in Luxury Catalina Foothills Home Sales

In 2019 the Catalina Foothills (zip codes 85750 and 85718) saw 374 home sales priced from 500K – 1 million versus 344 home sales in the same price range in 2018. This represents a 13% increase in the number of luxury home sales. 2020 should continue with an increase in home sales as the Tucson economy continues to improve.

For Catalina Foothills Luxury homes priced 1 million+ there were 60 that sold in 2019 versus 62 in 2018. This price range remains steady.
