It is not everyday we see a sale over a million dollars in the Catalina Foothills because sales are down in this price range; even from last year. Russ Lyon – Sotheby’s hit a home run last week by selling 10001 E Magee Road  for $1,350,000. Like most homes in this price range it started on the market a long time ago at a much higher list price. Sellers were hoping the market would improve, and many thought it started to last year, and then, well, let’s just say it didn’t, so these Sellers said time to move on and accepted the low offer which was a great deal for the buyers for a home that is only 8 years old and has over 6,700 square feet on 6 1/2 acres. The setting could not be more beautiful; it is nestled into the Coronado National Forest with high views of the Catalinas in back and city lights and multiple mountain range views all the way to Mexico in the front. I wonder how long deals like this will last. I guess to be honest, it is anybody’s guess. Jumbo financing is easier to obtain than it has been for years, but Buyers are being extra cautious.
