New Luxury Tucson Home in Cat 10 Sells for 1.6 Million

cat 10Goes to show the luxury buyers are still buying in the Catalina Foothills. Long Realty listed this home a year ago and it finally closed escrow  today. 4675 N Via De La Granja is an almost 5K square foot home with city and mountain views sited on almost an acre and a half. That it took a year from listing to close of escrow is par for the course in this price range. This home is not located in District 16 school district since gated Cat 10 is split between two school districts – TUSD (where this one is located) and DISTRICT 16. Open enrollment into DISTRICT 16 is always possible. New homes are hard to find in the Catalina Foothills where land is scarse and tear downs are not happening yet.

Rare Catalina Foothills – LaPaloma Mud Adobe Sells for $937,500

va

Sad to say but this house sold for $1,080,000  fourteen years ago and then it sold for only $937,500 today by Long Realty.

How come? Maybe because it is a Mud Adobe? Mud Adobes are very well insulated and were much a part of Tucson architectural history. La Paloma is a beautiful community and this one backs to the golf course.

More details–is about 4,500 square feet and is sited on a little over 1/2 acre , has a 4 car garage and boasts both city and mountain views. Maybe this special home had to attract a history bluff. Not sure, but mud adobes are timeless and these buyers were lucky to get such a great deal.
